Engagement session at Celebration | Disney engagement
Yesterday we went to the sweetest little town, Celebration, Florida! A picture perfect town nestled in the heart of Disney, for real it felt like a movie set. I have no idea how I have never been there but it was a great surprise to see so many picturesque parks and cutest architecture! Rachel, Joe and their pups Bella and Buckeye met up with us for a few shots at the Celebration sign, this was super special because they will be getting married at the Celebration church in June with a reception to follow at Four Seasons and fireworks of course!
Joe & Rachel have a Disney created relationship. They met while both working as cast members at Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom. Rachel was working there part-time while she was at UCF and Joe came down to do the Fall 2011 college program following his graduation from Ball State in Indiana. They were friends for a year because Joe moved to Ohio to work for the summer in 2012. Joe then permanently moved to Florida that Fall and they started dating December 2012. And since then Disney has definitely played a large part in their lives. Over the last 4 years, they have done two trips to Disneyland and two Disney cruises. One of them being a post-engagement surprise from Joe.
Disney was even a major part of their proposal….Rachel had just gotten back to Orlando after finals. She was in her last semester of law school up at UF, and the next day was her birthday. They started her birthday with breakfast at Kona and then walking around the resorts looking at the Christmas decorations. Later in the day at Joe’s apartment Rachel’s parents showed up – which should have been her number 1 clue since it was a Friday and they both work – and Joe had mentioned that he was taking them on a tour for their Christmas present which is something he does every year so it wasn’t out of the ordinary.
They made their way to Magic Kingdom and then to the Castle, where Joe mentions that he had arranged a tour of the Castle Suite. Once up in the suite, they were given the tour with Rachel’s parents. They were standing by one of the windows admiring the views and the fact that they were actually in the castle suite. They turned so that Rachel’s parents could take pictures of them in the suite and that’s when Joe proposed….pure magic, well done buddy!!!
We are so excited to see these two tie the knot in June and are honored to share in this amazing celebration!
