Amy & Mike’s lakeside estate wedding | Orlando Wedding
There are times that we have to keep things in perspective. We get caught up in work, in hoping that we are raising our kids right, in trying to find the time to see our friends, in trying to make the time for each other, in trying to slow life down for just that little bit. Sometimes that perspective is so hard to find. It can be difficult to realize that everyday that passes was one of the “good old days”. And just when we think we can’t keep up with the breakneck speed that life throws at us, along comes a couple like Amy and Mike.
See, Amy and Mike planned for this day, like most couples, for months and months and months. And like most couples had the anxiety that it might rain, or be too windy, or be too cold, but were able to keep that positive perspective the whole time. By surrounding themselves with the important things, family, friends, and loved ones, they were able to make sure that built in support system was there and ready in case anything disastrous happened. But nothing disastrous happened, in fact, it was quite the opposite.
The day was majestic, the family house that Amy grew up in was charming and beautiful and inviting. The ten foot refurbished doors that Amy’s father worked on made Amy’s entrance even that much more stunning. The backdrop of the sun setting, casting long shadows through the cypress trees, over the picturesque lake made what was sure to be a beautiful wedding. No detail was spared, even the cake table was redone by Amy and turned out beyond expectations.
All of the beauty of that day really made our job easier, but it was everything else that made our day so much more than just a job. The laughs, the tears, (Mike, we saw you), the hugs, the way Amy and Mike looked at each other, like they knew something, that this is where they were each supposed to be at that moment. The way Amy’s dad embraced his daughter, knowing that he was entrusting her with a man that he could count on to treat her the way she deserved to be treated. And the dancing, oh man was there some dancing.
Those are the moments that mean something to us. And those are the moments we hope that we capture. Amy and Mike treated us like friends, laughed with us and trusted us. And that is what we need every once in a while to keep this whole crazy adventure we call life into perspective.
Here’s to Amy and Mike. May every evening be filled with the warm hearts of family and the soft glow of the setting sun.
